About the role

Our new and exciting brand identity has enabling us to communicate our world-class research in ever unique and innovative ways. Our mission is to carve out a strong global brand presence and the role of Graphic Designer is going to play an integral role in helping us to realise this objective.

The Graphic designer will work collaboratively throughout the organisation working closely with our scientists, Engagement team, and our external creative agencies to use both print and digital technologies to visually communicate our research to a varied audience.

This role will ensure that NOC continues to embrace the latest in design innovation and challenge conventional practices with fresh and new rational.

About you

Our award-winning marketing team lead from the front, and we are proud of our reputation for pioneering new and innovative ways of communicating our scientific research. Your creative skill set will help us to remain fresh and relevant to our audiences, keeping us at the forefront of design trends and utilising your creativity to ensure our content receives prominent levels of engagement.

You will be at the forefront of design innovation with an understanding of the evolving digital landscape and importantly, you will be brave enough to use it and wise enough to learn from failings.

You will understand the benefits of NOC to build brand equity and an appreciation of the importance for its correct and consistent visual representation, both internally and externally.

To thrive in this role, you will need to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, including scientists and external creative agencies, which will require you to take and receive project briefs whilst assuming the role of brand expert to ensure everything we do supports the core messaging.

Your work will involve developing engaging content for both print and digital media with your work will playing a key role in communicating to a broad audience the importance of the ocean and the significant role it plays in climate change.

Location

This position will be based in Southampton. The centre is well connected by public transport and has ample cycle parking in addition to free onsite car-parking with over 40 EV charging points.

We can support visa applications where required. We may be able to offer financial support for applicants who will need to relocate for this position.
