Job Summary:

With limited oversight, ensure the technical integrity, scalability, and security of the Salesforce platform, including Nonprofit Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Backup and Restore, and Archive, to support constituent management, conservation programs, and donor engagement. Provide strategic oversight for system configuration, complex integrations, automation, and governance, collaborating with the Technology & Innovation division and cross functional teams to deliver a robust, mission-critical platform. Perform other duties as required.

Core Activities:

  • Platform Architecture & Configuration

Design custom objects and fields across Nonprofit Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud to ensure scalable functionality aligned with IT policies.

  • Platform Data Flow

Configure data flows between standard and custom objects and fields across Salesforce Clouds.

  • Complex Integration Management

Build and update advanced integrations with external systems and APIs ensuring seamless data exchange and performance monitoring. Includes authentication, data flow and integration monitoring tools.

Maintain Salesforce standard connectors and integrations with tools like Tableau, DocuSign, Stripe, Marketing Cloud, Ticketure and Intacct.

  • Change Management

Lead platform deployments and updates across sandbox and production environments using DevOps tools, ensuring compatibility for Backup and Restore and Archive solutions. Coordinate and collaborate on deployment of changes using Salesforce change sets and GitHub pull requests.

  • Release & Upgrade Strategy

Keep up to date with the latest Salesforce features and releases to ensure backwards compatibility and seamless updates.

  • Performance & Resilience Monitoring

Monitor system logs, scheduled jobs, and performance metrics to maintain stability, proactively addressing issues across all Clouds.

  • Security & Compliance Oversight

Perform system-level permission audits, audit trails, and org-wide security settings, including field history tracking, and org-wide defaults as well as Backup and Restore and Archive compliance. Proactively set up processes to manage and protect customer and business data and enforce governance and support legal, regulatory, and internal security requirements.

  • Advanced Automation

Build complex flows and system-level automations to optimize backend processes, enhancing efficiency across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience; preferred in-depth course of study in computer science
  • Required: Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator and Platform App Builder
  • 5–7 years of Salesforce experience
  • Expertise in complex integrations and automation
  • Demonstrated expertise with Salesforce CRM or Nonprofit Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud required
  • A passion for sustainability, applying eco-friendly practices like resource-efficient cloud configurations to align with our mission.
  • Excellent at completing assigned tasks; attention to detail, and has a high value for quality deliverables

Annual Compensation Range:

$107,500-$137,000 USD annually. Starting rate will vary based on previous experience and relevant skills/knowledge set.
