The successful candidate will be a key member of the FEAS Senior Management Team who will work closely with the FEAS Director on the day-to-day management and support the longer-term direction of FEAS.
They will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Data Collection Framework programme and FEAS sampling and data management teams, to ensure delivery of the programme and service to our main client DAFM (Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine). The job will be focused on the management of the Senior Laboratory Analysts and the Sampling and data management Team Leaders. The AP will be responsible for the implementation of the M.I.’s Performance, Management and Development System (PMDS), monitor all FEAS budget spending, ensure M.I. procurement guidelines are followed and monitor direct reports leave and lieu leave. Key roles of the AP will be programme planning for the European Maritime and Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF 2021 to 2027) and to ensure delivery of Ireland’s obligations under the Data Collection Multi Annual Programme (DCMAP), funded under the EMFAF. The AP will hold the role of Irelands National Correspondent in relation to all DCMAP matters. The AP will be responsible for ensuring the submission of the DCMAP Annual Cost Statement, the DCMAP Annual Report and the DCMAP National Work Plan for Ireland. The AP will chair the DCMAP team within the MI and the national coordination meeting with Irish partner organisations and work with partner organisations in relation to Irelands obligations under the DCMAP. They will work very closely with the MI Finance Office. They will also identify funding opportunities for FEAS within EMFAF.
