Description:
A full-time Research Assistant I position is available to work in the lab of Dr. Andrew Gillis in the Bay Paul Center for Comparative Molecular Biology and Evolution at the MBL.
The RA1 will assist with research on a NSF-funded research project on the development of the lateral line system of cartilaginous fishes.
Responsibilities of the RAI will include tissue preparation (dissection, fixation and embedding), histology, and microscopy (light and fluorescence microscopy), as well as animal husbandry.
This is a one-year position with an expected start date of 1 September 2026.

Minimal exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional lifting of heavy objects (<30 pounds).
