As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Economist to join our growing team.
This positions responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Lead advanced economic analysis related to natural resource use, recreation, and socioeconomic impacts in protected areas
Apply non-market valuation methods and social welfare measures to assess the economic value of public lands and ecosystem services
Evaluate the economic impacts of human use and consumption on recreation experiences, local communities, and regional economies
Develop and apply analytical frameworks to support policy, planning, and management decisions within protected areas
Integrate economic findings with interdisciplinary research efforts involving social scientists, planners, and natural resource managers
Translate complex economic analyses into clear, actionable insights for policymakers, land managers, and stakeholders
Prepare high-quality technical reports, briefings, and documentation in accordance with federal scientific integrity standards
Serve as a senior subject matter expert advising on best practices, methodologies, and emerging trends in resource and non-market economics
We are looking for A PhD-level trained resource economist with 10 years of experience in social welfare measures in non-market economics.
Economist must demonstrate awareness through previous experience in natural resource issues in protected areas as it relates to human use/consumption, its impacts to recreation experience, and local and regional economics.
