As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, Lynker seeking a dynamic and experienced Resilience Specialist for the New England (NE) Region. This role is contingent upon Lynker winning the contract, and an offer will likely not be extended until it is confirmed that the contract has been won.

Responsibilities

The Resilience Specialist supports the development and implementation of nature-based solutions, community resilience planning, and climate adaptation learning products. This role focuses on building capacity across conservation and natural resource partners through technical assistance, outreach, training, and applied project support. The position contributes to both national and regional initiatives to enhance resilience to climate change, extreme events, and related environmental challenges.

Duties of the Resilience Specialist - NE Region, will include the following:

  • Serve as contract lead for resilience-related projects, including the GI Effectiveness Database and peer-to-peer case study programs.
  • Lead the development and delivery of training and outreach products, such as webinars, workshops, and online learning modules focused on nature-based solutions (NBS), community adaptation, and risk communication.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to communities and partners implementing resilience and adaptation planning projects.
  • Support updates and modularization of adaptation trainings to enhance accessibility and relevance for diverse audiences.
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among federal, state, and local partners through the development of case studies and peer learning opportunities.
  • Conduct localized technical assistance related to climate resilience, emphasizing community-specific needs and priorities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of project deliverables with agency and partner goals.

Qualifications

The Ideal Resilience Specialist - NE Region, will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in environmental science, natural resource management, climate adaptation, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in resilience planning, conservation, or climate adaptation program support.
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of nature-based solutions and community resilience strategies.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver training and outreach programs, both virtually and in person.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize technical content for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with federal or state agency partnerships preferred.
