We're currently looking for an Electromechanical Assembly Technician who’s precise, dependable, and takes pride in their craft. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assembling and testing critical electrical and mechanical components that power our tightly integrated ocean gliders. These systems support vital work in ocean monitoring, research, and maritime operations—and we rely on skilled technicians to ensure every unit meets our high standards for performance and reliability.

What You’ll Do
- Assemble and test electrical and mechanical components for ocean gliders
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, applying strong quality control practices
- Perform system-level testing and accurately record test data
- Light soldering
- Keep a clean, organized, and safety-conscious workspace
- Provide hands-on feedback to improve manufacturing and assembly processes
- Collaborate with engineers as part of a close-knit, agile team
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred
- 5+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly and system testing
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including soldering and inspection (3+ years of soldering preferred)
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, precision measurement devices, and component identification
- Excellent manual dexterity and comfort working with very small, tightly spaced components with accuracy, consistency, and detail
- Ability to work independently
- Capable of lifting and handling up to 50 lbs as part of assembly tasks
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- US Citizenship (required due to export control restrictions)
- Preferred: Familiarity with J-STD-001 standards or experience in marine, aerospace, or defense manufacturing
