Position Summary:
The Digital Marketing Coordinator assists the Consumer Engagement Team by supporting initiatives that enhance Georgia Aquarium’s digital presence and guest experience. Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Manager, the Coordinator is responsible for providing content updates to the website, supporting email and mobile app communications, maintaining internal digital channels, optimizing content, and collaborating with stakeholders and partners.
Responsibilities:

- Support content updates on Georgia Aquarium’s digital channels, ensuring they follow brand guidelines, best practices, and accessibility standards.
- Carry out project assignments related to digital enhancements and campaign launches under the Team’s direction.
- Utilize a project management tool to track timelines, keep all stakeholders informed of project status, coordinate the review and approval process, and assist in the successful launch of projects.
- Assist with updating and maintaining digital channels for internal communications, including intranet and employee digital signage.
- Support assigned tasks related to collaboration with agency partners, including gathering materials, reviewing drafts, and coordinating feedback with the Team.
- Assist in building, testing, and deploying marketing emails and communications based on an established communications calendar.
- Stay informed about evolving digital marketing tools and practices, sharing relevant insights with the Team.
- Participate in digital marketing improvements by supporting documentation, project routing, and content updates as assigned.
- Assist with content and functionality updates within Georgia Aquarium’s systems, like Tessitura.
- Support troubleshooting of website, email, or app-related issues by gathering information and escalating to the Manager or technical teams as needed.
- Prepare and organize basic metrics related to website performance, guest experience, SEO trends, and email campaign results as assigned.
- Assist the Digital Marketing Manager in developing and maintaining consistent reports concerning all digital marketing channels.
- Ensure updates are accurate, timely, and submitted for review before publishing.
- Maintain the organization and optimization of marketing files and assets within Dropbox and shared drives.
- To perform other duties as workload necessitates.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations/media relations, communications, or journalism.
- Minimum of two years experience in marketing, public relations, digital marketing, communications or journalism, or relevant experience.
- Minimum of one year experience with digital marketing at a professional organization or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of digital marketing trends and platforms, including email marketing, social media, paid media, and mobile apps.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and/or website design is preferred.
- Experience with Content Management Systems, such as WordPress, is required.
- Experience with ticketing software, like Tessitura, is preferred.
- Experience with web analytics platforms, like Google Analytics, is preferred.
- Experience with a project management solution, like Monday.com, Asana, or Wrike, is preferred.
- Google Analytics or Ad Words certification is preferred.
- Experience with email service platforms, such as Iterable, Acoustic, or MailChimp, is preferred.
- Effective problem analysis and resolution skills.
- Above average ability to organize, manage time, and set priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible and shift priorities to meet departmental requirements.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal and management skills with the ability to interact positively at all levels within the organization, community and with business and political leaders who influence the Aquarium’s success.
