Marine Systems Technician

We are seeking qualified technicians to join our team of innovators and tinkerers who are working together to revolutionize marine electrification!

Company Overview

Flux Marine is a high-growth marine technology start-up that is designing electric outboard motors from the ground up without using legacy combustion engine parts. This allows our motors to maximize efficiency and minimize maintenance without compromising performance vs gas engines. Our technology has many applications including commercial, recreational, yacht tender, and defense markets.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Systems Technician to join our team of innovative engineers and technicians. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining, repairing and operating a growing fleet of vessels powered by our all-electric outboards. Roles & Responsibilities

Powerboat wiring, rigging, plumbing, weatherproofing, troubleshooting
Installation of vessel systems, furniture, fixtures, and electronics
Installation of outboard motors, high voltage battery packages
Fabrication of panels, mounts, jigs
Planning vessel integrations, creating and following installation instructions
Maintaining part and consumables inventory
Trailering and operating powerboats

Qualifications

Proven hands-on experience in marine, automotive, or similar field
Fabrication, wiring, assembly, and installation skills required
Meticulous attention to detail, neatness, cleanliness, and organization required
Ability to lift 50lb regularly, climb ladders, move safely in confined spaces
Welding, CNC, soldering, and/or composites experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
High School or GED minimum - Degree from technical or trade school preferred
ABYC and NMEA certifications a bonus
Experience or interest in boating, electric vehicles, outboard systems a bonus
