Ephemeral Carbon develops innovative marine carbon dioxide removal (MCDR) technologies to combat the global climate crisis. Our scalable approach aims to restore marine ecosystems, reduce ocean acidity, and protect coastal communities through effective CO₂ removal. We accelerate the natural process of silicate rock weathering by introducing naturally occurring minerals into coastal waters. These minerals react with CO₂ in seawater, transforming it into stable carbonates and bicarbonates and storing the carbon safely for over 100,000 years. This process also increases ocean alkalinity, which helps counteract ocean acidification, promoting healthier marine ecosystems. Our technology provides permanent CO₂ storage, ensuring carbon is locked away for millennia, while supporting life both above and below the ocean's surface. By deploying these solutions globally, Ephemeral Carbon is committed to addressing climate change and fostering long-term environmental stability.
