ABOUT DEEP.
Deep is an innovative hydrographic survey company founded in 1999. Our projects span offshore marine zones and inland waterways worldwide. Our team is as diverse as our assignments. Currently, we host more than 20 different nationalities in our teams! Thus, working at Deep means joining a skilled and flexible team that deploys high-tech, innovative equipment, including both crewed and uncrewed survey vessels. We want to make a future-proof impact by providing our clients with emission-free, clean data. By 2030, we aim to conduct CO2-neutral surveys, reducing our environmental impact every step of the way. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality, ready-to-use seabed data to our clients, acquired and processed in efficient and sustainable approaches. To achieve these objectives, we have started a division called Deep Green, in which we collect data using electric vehicles and boats. We prioritize sustainability not only in the field but also at our office in Amsterdam Noord, which is entirely powered by solar energy.
YOUR ROLE.
At Deep BV, we’re on a mission to become a planet-proof and sustainable survey company. As a Tender Engineer, you’ll be the first link in the chain: laying the groundwork for successful projects while collaborating with a passionate commercial team to engage clients, secure opportunities, and contribute to Deep’s long-term vision. Your day-to-day involves being the first point of contact for our clients. You’ll dive into their project needs, gather technical details and cost estimates, and craft compelling proposals that showcase Deep’s expertise. Whether you’re coordinating with internal teams, clarifying bids in meetings, or negotiating contracts, you ensure every detail is clear, accurate and aligned with our values. Beyond the office, you’ll visit clients, explore new leads, and deepen market insights. Representing Deep at trade exhibitions, both in the Netherlands and internationally, you’ll stay up to date with industry trends while strengthening our position as a leading survey partner.

- You are detail-oriented. This translates into precise offers, plans and documentation of high quality, even under time pressure.
- You’re a strong communicator who builds lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
- You think ahead, spot opportunities, and take initiative to make things happen.
WHO WE LOOK FOR.
- A commercially oriented mindset combined with an HBO / WO degree in a technical field (e.g., Geophysics, Hydrographic Survey, Engineering, Geology, or another relevant discipline).
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to write commercial offers that reflect our capabilities and meet client requirements.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English, in writing and speaking.
- You live within commuting distance of our Amsterdam office and are available for 32–40 hours per week.
- A valid driver’s license
