The opportunity
The Marine National Facility (MNF) is a cornerstone of Australia’s marine research infrastructure, delivering world-class capability through the research vessel Investigator. Managed by CSIRO, the MNF supports multidisciplinary marine research across Australia’s maritime estate, enabling evidence-based decision-making in areas such as fisheries, climate, geology, and marine operations.
As a Voyage Delivery Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating the safe and effective delivery of research voyages. Working within the MNF Operations Team, you will manage all aspects of voyage planning from shore, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical, logistical and safety requirements are met. You will also provide ongoing support throughout the voyage lifecycle, helping to resolve issues and optimise outcomes.
This is a multi-faceted role that blends administration, technical coordination and stakeholder engagement. You will bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in project coordination tools and Microsoft Office 365 is essential, along with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to customer service.
If you're passionate about supporting impactful marine research and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this is a great opportunity to contribute to nationally significant science – so we’d love to hear from you!
