Role:

We are now seeking an experienced ROV Supervisor to join our growing marine operations team in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the technical specification, tendering and procurement of CorPower’s ROV system. Upon delivery, you will be responsible for the mobilisation and system integration of the ROV system to our wave energy converter installation vessel currently under development. Once operational, you will lead the ROV operations and maintenance program.

Responsibilities:

ROV System Procurement & Commissioning Phase:

  • Lead the tender process for ROV system procurement and ensure it fulfills the functional requirements.

  • Define operational requirements, interfaces (power and comms needs, deck footprint, loads), and performance criteria in collaboration with engineering, project and operations teams.

  • Coordinate with other package leads such as ship design and winch system.

  • Oversee ROV system integration, commissioning, and readiness for offshore operations

  • Develop operational procedures, risk assessments, and maintenance plans.

Operational Phase:

  • Build and lead a team of ROV pilots and technicians

  • Manage ROV operations during marine campaigns, ensuring safe and efficient execution.

  • Support continuous improvement and contribute to technology development for future deployments

  • Manage ROV service and maintenance activities in Portugal.

  • Support assembly and on-land testing of Wave Energy Converters (transportation and installation included)

  • Support pilot installations in the field.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in ROV operations, of which minimum 2 years in the ROV supervisor roll or equivalent.

  • Experience in light or heavy work-class ROV systems

  • Experience in sourcing ROV systems including LARS and/or ROV tooling is meriting

  • Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electric engineering degree or equivalent proved relevant industrial / offshore engineering experience.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and understand priorities, based on project schedule.
