Junior Accountant/Redovisningsekonom - Wave Energy

Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Accountant with one to two years of broad experience in accounting. Your willingness to learn and to develop is important to us. You’ll support our financial operations in areas including day-to-day bookkeeping, tax and VAT reporting, financial statements, and audits. Working closely with our Group Controller, you’ll play a key role in advancing our financial processes and supporting project and operational teams. You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and bring a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to your work.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Assist in tax reporting
- Support project managers with budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow-ups
- Handle project reporting to national and EU-level public funders
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external agreement requirements
- Oversee expense reporting in line with project finance requirements
- Assist with audits and reviews from funding partners
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience with EU-funded project accounting is a plus
- Experience in industrial companies or startups is an advantage
- Experience in tax and VAT is a bonus
- Proficiency in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical mindset and a proactive, hands-on approach
- Detail-oriented, persistent, and solution-driven
- Comfortable working in multi-national teams and presenting financial insights
