Cellula is looking to add a Mechanical Technician to its Production team to support its growing list of projects.

As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, production, operation & support of various marine robotic systems, including Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and seafloor drills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and operate subsea robotics
  • Maintain a safe, and efficient mechanical shop environment
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend purchases as appropriate
  • Liaise with other disciplines as needed, including Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Project Management & Operations
  • Strive to ensure quality and timely delivery of finished products to clients
  • Follow safe working practices and report near misses
  • Provide field and operations support

Required Qualifications

  • College diploma or higher with focus on mechanical systems OR high school diploma and significant relevant work experience

  • Mechanical assembly
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Hands on mechanical assembly skills
  • Mechanical troubleshooting
  • Good English communication skills written & oral

  • Hydraulics assembly and servicing
  • Light fabrication
  • Electrical systems integration
  • First aid
  • Forklift operation
  • Mechanical shop organization
  • Experience in the subsea industry
  • Experience with hydrogen fuel cells

  • Experience working with teams of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers and technicians
