Job Description

At Capture6, we are building out large-scale infrastructure utilizing Direct Air Capture (DAC) solutions to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Through leveraging co-benefits, we pursue industrial integrations where carbon removal can enable transformative gains for industry. As we expand our international footprint, we are exploring project opportunities in new North American regions, and are seeking a high-caliber intern to support this effort.

This role is a unique opportunity to engage in real-world research, strategic planning, and business development activities that will help define the future of DAC deployment in key emerging markets. You will be at the forefront of scaling breakthrough climate technology through infrastructure innovation.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and analytical intern to join our Commercial team for a focused internship project. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct market, policy, and stakeholder research to assess the feasibility of a DAC project in a targeted region in North America. This will include mapping of potential sites, customers, required infrastructure, and other enabling conditions for success.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional internal teams including technology and commercial leads to help shape the project’s business case and support early engagement with partners and stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Our preferred candidate will focus on one or more of the following tasks:

  • Deep dives into regional industrial makeups.
  • Learn about the idiosyncrasies of early-stage project development in CDR.
  • Analyze relevant regulatory frameworks, climate policy incentives, and infrastructure investment trends across targeted North American regions.
  • Evaluate market drivers for carbon removal, including carbon pricing, offset demand, and clean energy supply.
  • Conduct research to identify potential project sites based on energy, water, and land availability.
  • Profile key local stakeholders, including utilities, government agencies, and industrial partners.
  • Develop a structured opportunity assessment for the new region.
  • Research into regional water markets, with synthesis of findings into actionable insights for Capture6 leadership and engineering audiences.
    Synthesize research into actionable insights for Capture6 leadership through creation of cohesive reports and decks.
  • Searching for and assessing public funding opportunities, in service of new and existing pipeline projects.
  • Support on commercial marketing efforts, including case study development and webinar planning.

What You Will Bring

  • Prior experience in management consulting, business development, climate tech, energy, infrastructure, marketing, or public policy.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and synthesis skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Interest in climate innovation, sustainability, and systems-level thinking.
  • Based in the United States and legally authorized to work without sponsorship.

Exceptional Candidates May Also Bring

  • Knowledge of carbon removal technologies and markets.
  • Familiarity with regional energy and water systems or environmental regulatory frameworks in North America.


Experience in stakeholder engagement or government relations.
