The Emera Safety team has a principal accountability to act as the Company’s authority on matters of safety policy, governance, planning and due diligence. The team supports Emera in its vision to achieve World Class Safety where no one gets hurt in our business. Our role on safety involves ensuring that the company’s management system requirements are established, implemented, and maintained. Reporting to the Senior Safety Assurance Professional, this position will involve supporting the safety assurance function by actively monitoring the compliance of Emera’s safety management systems enterprise wide by taking a key role in safety assurance activities, guided by the company’s safety auditing and compliance program. As well, it will involve providing technical and policy assistance on various safety initiatives and plans and implement and track programs that support corporate governance for Emera and its affiliates.
