Job Description and Duties

Are you interested in working to protect California's Native species and environment? Do you like streamlining processes and finding creative solutions for data management and distribution? If so, come work for CDFW's Habitat Conservation Planning Branch (HCPB), dedicated to providing for the conservation, protection, restoration, and management of fish, wildlife, and native plants and to preserve and restore the ecosystems.

HCPB is hiring an Analyst I in the Administrative Services Program. We are seeking applicants with strong communication and analytical skills who can build effective working relationships with a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders. The successful applicant will have working knowledge of Excel and tracking, be well organized and have an interest in making an impact on California's landscape.

In order to be eligible for this position, you must either be transfer eligible or take and pass the following exam.

Working Conditions

This position works in an office setting. Position may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule dependent upon operational needs. The position requires the use of a computer for several hours each day and may require the completion of office tasks that require sitting, standing, and moving to other locations; attendance at meetings and participation in video and teleconference calls.
