Position Summary

As our IT Technician you will be a critical part of the team that empowers our organization's mission. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will provide essential technical support for our team of approximately 100 professionals, ensuring our systems and networks operate smoothly and efficiently. This is a customer-facing role where you will be a key resource for staff at all levels, enabling their success through well-maintained technology, expert support, and clear communication.

Position Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be diverse and hands-on, evolving as our organization does. Key duties include:

  • End-User Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support, providing friendly and effective assistance to users in-person, over the phone, and in remote locations.
  • System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, operating systems, and software applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system and network problems, collaborating with vendors to address issues with hardware and software.
  • A/V & Shared Technology: Set up and maintain printers, audiovisual (A/V) systems, and other shared equipment to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Project Contribution: Author Scope of Work (SOWs) for small-scale IT projects and participate in special projects with significant technology implications as needed.
  • Manage incident response by making effective and timely use of escalation paths to the IT Manager, our Managed Service Provider (MSP), and our cybersecurity partners.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain clear documentation for support activities, problem resolutions, and user guides within our internal and external knowledge bases.
  • Asset Management: Own and manage the inventory tracking for all company devices and peripherals.
  • Mobile Device Management: Provide support and management for mobile devices, ensuring secure integration with our hardware and software.
  • Security & Compliance: Facilitate the completion of third-party risk assessments for new software to ensure security standards are met.

Required Qualifications:

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in an IT support role, such as IT Technician, Help Desk Specialist, or a similar position.
  • Proven experience with Windows and macOS operating systems and mobile device management.
  • Familiarity with the responsible use of AI tools to enhance productivity and problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of achievement
  • Able to work as a team player, be flexible and adapt to change
  • Demonstrated use of consistent good judgment in managing and protecting highly confidential information

Compensation

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; specific job-related experience and training; job location, licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Builders Vision, we apply a total rewards philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. Expected annual base salary range for this role is $90,000- $105,000, plus this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary long-term incentive award, and benefits.
