About Blue Robotics

At Blue Robotics, we enable the field of marine robotics with affordable components and systems. What does this really mean? We design cool tech for use underwater that allows tons of people and organizations to pursue their audacious dreams of exploring and learning about our oceans and waterways.

Blue Robotics is looking for an Inventory & Receiving Coordinator to join our Operations team and manage the flow of incoming materials that support our underwater vehicles, thrusters, sensors, enclosures, and more. In this role, the work you do ensures our products are ready to help explore shipwrecks, study endangered species, and advance our understanding of the oceans.

Because our customers depend on consistent performance in the field, our team is focused on accuracy, organization, and continuous improvement. You’ll need to be detail-oriented, proactive in resolving discrepancies, and comfortable working across teams. We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, open to feedback, and able to work reliably with minimal supervision.

As our products and processes evolve, adaptability is key. You’ll play an important role in receiving, inspecting, and organizing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring materials are available to support production.

We provide hands-on training and regular check-ins to help you succeed. Within your first 30 days, you’ll become comfortable with our processes, and by three months, you’ll be working independently—keeping inventory accurate, organized, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process all incoming shipments (both PO and non-PO)
  • Match shipments to purchase orders and investigate discrepancies
  • Communicate with buyers regarding shortages, damages, or issues
  • Submit incoming items for inspection and track status through completion
  • Identify and route items without clear ownership
  • Ensure smooth flow of materials through inspection and receiving processes
  • Process returns and coordinate cross-departmentally as needed
  • Label, organize, and stock incoming inventory accurately
  • Maintain correct inventory locations and records in Odoo
  • Operate forklift to move and store materials safely
  • Restock production lines with required materials to support production operations
  • Remove and manage packaging waste from production areas (boxes, cardboard, etc.)
  • Maintain organized inventory to ensure materials are accessible and production-ready
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices
  • Participate in cycle counts and full inventory counts
  • Assist in investigating and reconciling inventory discrepancies
  • Support preparation and organization for inventory audits

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory control
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

The Inventory & Receiving Coordinator is a highly active role. Must have the ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly, and stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Must be comfortable operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and working in a fast-paced production environment.

Benefits for FT Employees:

  • Flexible scheduling
  • Medical and dental insurance
  • 401(k) Plan with 4% matching
  • Paid vacation hours + paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • Plenty of parking
  • Team lunches and other fun events
