About this exciting opportunity
Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary research team and play a key role in delivering impactful marine science projects. Working extensively in the field, including during research cruises, you will coordinate and support boating, diving and other field activities, while collecting, managing and analysing data to ensure successful project outcomes.
This hands on role also involves coordinating fieldwork logistics, maintaining equipment and consumables, ensuring compliance with research permits, and providing guidance to staff, interns and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be an organised and adaptable team player with strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and a passion for supporting high quality scientific research.
About you
You are a passionate marine science professional with experience in coral ecology, reef restoration and field-based research. With strong boating, diving and fieldwork skills, you are confident leading field programs, collecting and managing high quality scientific data, and supporting complex research projects in remote environments.
Highly organised and adaptable, you excel in fast-paced settings, build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, and communicate effectively both in the field and in writing. Your ability to work collaboratively, manage competing priorities and contribute to reports, procedures and scientific outputs will ensure your success in this role.

- AIMS AOF Level 3 Enhanced (3.1-3.9) salary ($79,053 to $99,105 per annum) plus 15.4% superannuation
- Full-time, 1-year, 10-month Temporary (Labour hire) opportunity to 30 June 2028
- Located in Townsville (Qld)
- 9-day fortnight, enjoy a long weekend each fortnight

Please note:
