About this exciting opportunity
This position provides a crucial link between technology development and operations in meeting the objectives of the fast-scaling reef restoration program. You will support the transition of reef restoration interventions from the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP) into the Pilot Deployments Program (PDP). Working with the Principal Systems Engineer, technology developers and key multi-institutional researchers, in this role you will also develop knowledge and models that will enable the at-scale deployment of research methods and technologies developed in RRAP.

About you
An experienced engineer, you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline to support your knowledge and experience in integrating technologies into systems and processes, engineering optioneering, feasibility assessments, and planning for manufacturing. You will be a team player, an effective communicator, have strong attention to detail and be able to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented approach. Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills that demonstrate experience working under limited supervision and in a complex environment. Experience with planning and developing engineering processes or infrastructure, including cost modelling, with project management experience considered advantageous.
