About this exciting opportunity

As a Field Operations Officer with AIMS’ you will support the safe delivery of field work programs and provide advice and support to field teams.

You will undertake a wide variety of tasks with varying degrees of technical complexity along with delivering inductions, presentations and discussions to varied audiences, and a nominal amount of field work.

This role will involve liaising with external organisations to ensure compliance of AIMS’ field trips in line with AIMS’ procedures and expectations, whilst identifying critical challenges and developing tailored solutions in a timely and satisfactorily manner.

About you

You will bring demonstrated practical knowledge of Queensland and Commonwealth legislation, standards, and relevant guidance relating to occupational diving and vessel operations along with relevant qualifications. As a field operations officer, you will have practical experience with health, safety and environmental (HSE) issues and practices and demonstrated experience providing support to experimental work undertaken in the field (marine or land based) or at research facilities.

Our ideal applicant will hold the following qualifications:

  • ADAS Part 1 Diving Qualifications
  • AMSA Coxswain NC1 Qualifications
