About this exciting opportunity
As AIMS’ SeaSim Biosecurity Project Officer you will support the design and delivery of an aquarium-based biosecurity facility, this role involves coordinating project tasks and embedding biosecurity requirements into the design.
You will coordinate day-to-day project tasks engaging multiple field’s including engineers, operations, and stakeholders. You will be responsible for tracking actions, risks, decisions, and deliverables, supporting schedules, meetings, procurement inputs, and documentation control through design and construction phases.
About you
You will hold a PhD in a related field, demonstrating specialised expertise in aquarium/aquaculture biosecurity; or substantial professional experience at a subject matter expert level. You will demonstrate an advanced understanding of modern aquarium/aquaculture systems and workflows coupled with knowledge of biosecurity requirements and best practice for aquarium/animal holding facilities.
You will bring demonstrated experience supporting design and build projects in infrastructure or laboratory/aquaculture settings with a focus on strengthening system and process reliability whilst ensuring cost effective services.
