About these exciting opportunities
As a SeaSim Senior Technical Officer you will play a key role in the AIMS National Sea Simulator (SeaSim) team where you will prove essential support for research activities. The Senior Technical Officer positions assist with the development, operation, and maintenance of aquarium systems used for experimentation, holding, propagation, and breeding of marine organisms for research projects conducted within SeaSim.
You will provide leadership and supervision to SeaSim Technical Officers, oversee the development of documentation for systems and processes and manage the operation, optimisation, and maintenance of project-specific life support systems.
About you
Underpinning your suitability for these roles will be your extensive experience in transforming research concepts into fully implemented solutions, including designing, procuring, constructing, commissioning, operating, monitoring, and optimising life support systems within the aquaculture or aquarium industry.
You will have advanced technical knowledge of operational requirements, including the maintenance of systems for marine species in captivity coupled with a proven ability and willingness to share information and provide clear instructions to support the development of less experienced team members.
