About this exciting opportunity
Joining AIMS’ in this Postdoctoral Fellowship position you will be responsible for processing and analysing microbiomes, eDNA and metadata from the molecular monitoring component of the 2024 Bleaching response project.
In this role you will curate and manage all data streams as well as develop indicators of changing environmental metric and see you lead scientific investigations connected to these datasets, generating reproducible workflows, and leading manuscript preparation.
About you
You will bring a PhD in a relevant discipline with a developing profile of innovative research which addresses substantivate issues in coral reef ecology and microbial community analysis published in leading peer reviewed journals.
You will have a demonstrated understanding and application of metagenomic multivariate techniques for integrated -omics datasets coupled with proficiency in bioinformatics and metagenomics analysis, enabled by proficiency of appropriate computer languages for bioinformatics and analyses.
