About this opportunity
In this role you will lead and contribute to bioinformatics and population genomic analyses to support genetic monitoring and investigations into the genetic architecture of thermal tolerance phenotypes in corals. You will advance and contribute to scientific investigations and develop analytical pipelines appropriate for coral population genomic bioinformatics and analyses.

About you
As a Population Genomics Analyst, you will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline with a developing profile of innovative research addressing substantivate issues in population genomics and/or genomic-enabled quantitative genetics, preferably for non-model organisms, published in leading peer reviewed journals. You are proficient in bioinformatics and population genomic analysis for whole genome sequencing and have experience and familiarity with theory and practices of undertaking genotype-environment association tests and/or genome-wide association studies. Advanced field and boating skills, ability to create linkage maps, and experience in detecting and interpreting structural variants are highly desirable.
