About this exciting opportunity
This role will support environmental chemistry and ecotoxicological research both in the laboratory and our National Sea Simulator facility. You will take a hands-on approach to your role and assist in laboratory activities including:
About you
You will hold a BSc in marine biology, chemistry or similar discipline coupled with demonstrated experience in executing aquarium-based ecotoxicology experiments on coral, microalgae and/or other tropical marine organisms.
As an Experimental Research Technician, you will demonstrate experience in experimental design, statistical analyses and application of microscopy and flow cytometry for microalgal densities.
Our ideal applicant will bring experience in resources and laboratory management, including development of task risk assessments, chemical risk assessments, standard operating procedures and staff training coupled with a QLD small boat license and VHF radio operator’s license.

Please note:
