About this exciting opportunity
We are seeking a number of passionate individuals to join our Coral Reproduction and Aquaculture team and assist with the production of coral seeding devices for reef restoration purposes. We are engaging casual staff to support periods of work to meet a number of activities that will occur between 27 October 2025 to 31 January 2026.
Working under the direction of senior technicians, these will be hands on positions where you can expect to be:
About you
Ideally you will be studying or have interest in marine biology or aquaculture and apply your learned knowledge to the tasks assigned. You will have experience with and ability to accurately follow pre-determined protocols to the highest standard, while identifying anomalies and creating accurate records and reports. You will have great attention to detail in your work. You show initiative in your work and have the ability to work and communicate efficiently with team members to ensure timely completion of allocated tasks and activities.
Experience in the husbandry and maintenance of coral reef associated organisms and/or aquaculture systems would be highly advantageous.
A small group will need to commence in October, with the majority of staff needing to commence during mid-November to early December. It is important that you will be available during periods with high workloads for our team occurring in December 2025 and/or in January 2026.

Please note:
Non-Australian Citizens must hold an appropriate Visa with working entitlements that allows paid employment with AIMS from commencement and for the full term of the appointment, depending on the relevant Department of Home Affairs current policies.
