About this exciting opportunity

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the position of RRAP Research Technician will provide high quality experimental, laboratory and data processing support across research projects in the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP). This position will assist with a range of activities including laboratory sample analyses, experimental maintenance, image analyses, and project logistical support. The project support provided by the research technicians would contribute to the delivery of reports and the production of scientific publications.

Work tasks will include collecting and curating samples from within SeaSim, maintaining laboratory books, managing data samples, QA/QC and laboratory analysis, and presenting summary of data as requested by project leads. You will collaborate with researchers across broader teams.

About you

Underpinning your suitability for this opportunity will be your Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in marine science, biology, or ecology and your experience in laboratory processing and managing data from large samples sizes.

You will bring demonstrated experience in the maintenance of experiments and data collection, proficiency in data management programs and experience working in a large team environment and good communication skills.
