We are seeking an Electronic Monitoring (EM) Program Coordinator to support commercial fisheries monitoring programs in Hawaii and American Samoa. In this role, you will divide your time between hands-on installation and servicing of electronic monitoring systems in port, coordinating project activities and service schedules, and working with program regulators to ensure high-quality comprehensive data collection.

The Pacific Islands Program Coordinator position encompasses a combination of fieldwork, project coordination, and data review to support program operations. This role requires a high level of communication with industry members (fishers and processors), fisheries agencies, project partners, and other Archipelago staff.
Fieldwork responsibilities include the installation and servicing of CCTV cameras and computer components onboard commercial fishing vessels in Hawaii and American Samoa. The administrative and data review components of the role require intermediate computer hardware and software skills, knowledge of commercial longline fishing practices, and the ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse group of stakeholders.
The position is based in Honolulu and may require occasional travel to American Samoa for installation and service work. Some evening and weekend work will be necessary to meet industry schedules. This is a full-time, 40‑hour‑per‑week position.
