We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our Victoria based team. The successful candidate will support project-specific delivery across construction monitoring, brownfield/contaminated sites, and marine and coastal projects. This role combines field work and project coordination within a collaborative project delivery team based in Victoria, BC.
This term position is well suited to someone with consulting experience who enjoys working in field investigations and desktop analysis.
Archipelago has been around for over 40 years, and our Environmental Services group has supported sustainable coastal and environmental development for most of that time. Our multidisciplinary team works across marine, terrestrial, and nearshore environments, supporting infrastructure, remediation, restoration, and construction projects for government, industry, and First Nations throughout British Columbia and beyond. As well, Archipelago is at the forefront of fisheries monitoring solutions for fisheries around the world. Our head office sits right on the water in Victoria (Esquimalt), British Columbia and we have offices in Alaska, Oregon, Australia, and in port cities up and down the British Columbia coast.
The Environmental Scientist will provide technical support and environmental oversight on active projects. The role includes environmental monitoring, compliance support, data interpretation, and coordination with Archipelago’s project managers.

The anticipated salary range for the Environmental Scientist role is $25-35 per hour based on the experience you bring to the role. This role is a 6-month term position beginning as soon as possible, with potential for extension.

This is a field-based position typically 30 to 37.5 hours/week and may require work in evenings and on weekends.
