Archipelago has been around for over 45 years and is at the forefront of fisheries monitoring solutions for fisheries around the world. We create and deploy technology for commercial fishing vessels, at-sea observers and dockside monitors to collect data and report back to our clients. This data helps manage global fisheries and ensure sustainability for generations to come. We also provide marine environmental services for clients up and down the west coast of Canada and the United States. Our head office sits right on the water in Victoria (Esquimalt), British Columbia and we have offices in Alaska, Oregon, Australia, and in port cities up and down the British Columbia coast.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Product Engineering team as a Product Specialist, focusing on developing innovative monitoring systems for global fisheries. The decisions made in the development of Electronic Monitoring systems for fisheries play a crucial role in determining how successful government and companies are in ensuring sustainable fishing practices, protecting endangered species, and combatting illegal fishing.

This term position, hiring between September 2025 and May 2026, is being sought to support the R&D and production needs of our Light Integrated Monitoring Equipment (LIME) product line. In this role, a successful candidate is expected to:

The position is based on a 37.5-hour work week – Monday to Friday.
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $28 and $40 per hour. This role is an 8-month term position for the period September 2025 through May 2026. Students seeking co-op experience are encouraged to apply.
