Salary: Estimated at $40,850 *; Based on experience
Term of Position: This position is funded for up to 4 years, and is supported through outside funding commitments. The grants are subject to periodic reviews to confirm the continuation of funding. The role may include collaboration with our Development team to help ensure sustained support; however, ongoing employment is contingent upon the availability of grant funding and partner commitments

Position Summary:
This is a full-time limited term position with American Bird Conservancy (ABC). The American Bird Conservancy (ABC) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Habitat Restoration Technician to support habitat restoration and management efforts in partnership with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (NGPC). This position is funded through the Nebraska Natural Legacy Project and is based at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission office in Beatrice, Nebraska. Most field work will occur at Indian Cave State Park and other conservation lands in southeast Nebraska.
The Habitat Restoration Technician will assist with the implementation of woodland and prairie restoration projects that improve habitat for birds and other wildlife. Working alongside experienced conservation professionals, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in habitat management, invasive plant control, prescribed fire, conservation planning, private lands conservation, and bird monitoring.
This position provides valuable experience for careers in habitat management, wildlife conservation, and natural resource management, making it an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career conservation professionals.
