Title: Advocacy Communications Coordinator
Supervisor: Vice President for Advocacy and Threats Programs
Location: Remote/Flexible
Salary: Estimated at $60K-$75k* yearly; Based on experience
Term of Position: This is a limited-term position supported by external funding commitments. Funding will be formally reviewed at six (6) months to assess sustainability and continuation. While ABC intends to pursue ongoing funding and envisions this role as potentially long-term, continued employment beyond the stated term is contingent upon the availability of grant funding and partner support.
The position may include collaboration with the Development team to support fundraising and long-term sustainability efforts.

Position Summary:
This is a limited term position with American Bird Conservancy (ABC). The Advocacy Communications Coordinator will assist our Advocacy and Communications teams in creating communications plans and content to advance ABC’s advocacy goals. The position will be responsible for translating advocacy goals into persuasive and compelling public-facing content that educates citizens and decision-makers alike and engages grassroots action while elevating ABC’s advocacy work in the conservation space.
50% of the position’s time will be focused on our Cats Indoors campaign. This work will consist of identifying an external firm to analyze the Hawaiian media market, developing and deploying strategies to ABC’s policy and behavior change goals in Hawaii and elsewhere, and coordinating with the firm and relevant ABC staff while the project advances.
