Help catalyze Indigenous and community leadership and equity by joining our global team advancing Conservation in Partnership with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities. Working collaboratively with programs in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and North America, this position provides technical assistance, training and learning, and strategic guidance to strengthen Indigenous- and community-led conservation approaches in support of TNC’s “Voice, Choice and Action Framework”. They identify opportunities and innovations, build partnerships for implementation and scale, and help ensure progress towards deliverables and our global 2030 outcomes for people and nature.

The ideal candidate will have a background and track record that includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, international development, conservation, social innovation or related field and at least 4 years related experience, or equivalent combination.

• Experience in Indigenous- or community-led initiatives with an awareness of emerging trends and topics in conservation or development

• Experience creating and managing complex projects and teams in a decentralized environment.

• Strong skills in critical thinking, research, and analysis.

• Experience building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including community, business or government leaders, NGOs, social innovators, funders and others.

• Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred, including experience in developing countries

• Specialized expertise within coastal, tropical forest or grasslands ecosystems.

• Excellent English writing skills; working knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, Bahasa Indonesia or Swahili desired.
