Vacancy: Marine Centre Manager

Brief Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a tropical marine expert with management skills to join our team of dedicated conservationists based at our marine centre, and resident at Four Seasons Resort Kuda Huraa, Republic of the Maldives.

The Role

• Management and responsibility for the Reefscapers team, and all daily operations.
• Support for all programmes: coral propagation, turtle conservation, aquaculture.
• Supervise & coach staff; train Apprentices and Interns.
• Regular written reports (in English) of all projects and targets.
• Management of guest activities, public-relations, and environmental awareness events.

The Ideal Candidate

• Academic qualifications in a relevant discipline (Marine Biology, Environmental Science).
• 5 years’ experience in tropical marine conservation, project management, staff supervision.
• Specific knowledge and experience in the fields of coral biology and sea turtle conservation.
• PADI DiveMaster (or equivalent) essential; 10m free-diving ability preferred.
• An excellent standard of spoken and written English (additional language/s preferred).
