We are seeking an Executive Assistant to join in our mission and vision and play a critical part in maintaining seamless operations with effective communication across all levels of the organization at the directive of our Executive Director and of the Chief Operating Officer.

Working at the direction of the Executive Director (est. 85%) and the Chief Operating Officer (est. 15%), the Executive Assistant will be the cornerstone of the team’s day-to-day operations and is responsible for providing top-tier administrative support to the ED and COO through strategic planning and prioritization of tasks, staying ahead of the deadlines by monitoring calendars and project timelines and effective communication ensuring timely responses across the business.

The salary range is $58,000 to $78,200/yr. This is a full time, salaried, exempt position based at our headquarters in Ma’alaea Harbor on the beautiful island of Maui.

This is a hybrid position, allowing flexibility to work in the office and from your home on Maui.

Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Pacific Whale Foundation (PWF) was founded in 1980 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the world’s whales from extinction. PWF solely owns a social enterprise that offers fee-based programs and services through PacWhale Eco-Adventures to help support its nonprofit work. Combined with memberships, donations, charitable grants, and a remarkable group of dedicated volunteers, PWF now reaches more than 400,000 individuals each year through its Maui and Australia offices and research projects in Ecuador, Chile and Japan.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who currently reside in Hawai’i.
