SMRU is expanding our offshore wind team and seeking professionals with a body of experience in consenting (and or post-consent support) and impact assessment to support our UK, Ireland (and potentially US) marine mammal consulting work. As part of our growing team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting, challenging, and interesting offshore wind consent (and post consent) projects in the UK, Ireland and beyond.

We are looking to fill a maximum of two positions to bolster our offshore wind team. These are for either Associate Scientist or Senior Scientist (different combinations of positions may be recruited).

We are looking to fill a maximum of two positions to bolster our offshore wind team. These are for either Associate Scientist or Senior Scientist (different combinations of positions may be recruited). We are looking for candidates with existing experience that can be applied to our current and future project portfolio, with a focus on the offshore wind sector and marine infrastructure projects although there may be the opportunity in the future to get involved in a wide variety of sectors and projects. Much of this activity is specifically related to the potential for impacts from underwater noise, a stimulating and growing field of marine mammal science. We are keen therefore to attract talented candidates with client-facing experience in this area. See the detailed job descriptions for full details.
