MaPP is a partnership between the Province of B.C. and First Nations that developed marine plans for the North Pacific Coast waters with advice from stakeholders and the public. The MaPP planning area is divided into four sub-regions, each of which has a technical planning team composed of marine planning and geographic information system (GIS) experts. Their work is coordinated by a marine scientist and supported by the best available traditional and local knowledge, scientific data and technical information. Two co-leads, who represent the two partner groups, lead each sub-regional team in the development of the sub-regional plan and will coordinate plan implementation.
