Industrial Mechanical Technician Internship

As an Industrial Mechanical Technician, you will have the unique opportunity to help the mechanical engineering department to bring ideas into reality. Part of an innovative department, you will actively contribute to the development of new technologies, from the early stage of a concept or prototype into products.
Responsibilities Contribute to the mechanical engineering department: • Create detailed 3D designs from engineering concepts for manufacturing • Precisely write industry standard technical drawings for manufacturing (complete production detail drawings) • Review drawings for correctness and conformance to industry standards and company design philosophy (determine scaling, inserts necessary reference datums, centre and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning) • Illustrate assembly drawings and diagrams of Daphne Technology’s systems for documentation • Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices using computer aided design systems
Qualifications • Swiss CFC for “Dessinateur/trice constructeur/trice industriel” or equivalent
What we are looking for • Software skills: Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Autodesk Vault → Design, Modelling and Drafting for Manufacturing (SolidWorks, CATIA, PTC Creo also accepted) • Knowledge and experience working Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Tolerance Stack up Calculation • An enthusiastic and proactive team member • Structured and methodical mindset • Material science and industrial manufacturing methods basic knowledge • Good communication skills in English and French • Passionate commitment to a sustainable future
