Six to nine month positions available on a rotating basis. Work with the Environmental Policy Team to research environmental issues and advocate for Conservancy positions at local, state, and/or federal levels. Assist with comment letters, presentations, handouts; attend and participate in meetings; conduct outreach on programs and positions; conduct literature reviews and evaluate proposed rules and legislation; daily administrative duties include media tracking and office tasks; office-based with offsite meetings. Qualifications: strong commitment to conservation of water, land, and wildlife; BS/BA (preferably in environmental policy or environmental studies); excellent written/oral communication; working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing; strong organizational/leadership; variable hours and local travel; valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to work independently and adapt; work well with others; GIS experience preferred.
